I got my 4.5'' pbass officially off of pure live food, and i've been giving them krill. I attempt to give them pellets all the time, but they sometimes hit it, then spit it all out. or dont even bother eating it. Ive even tried stuffing krill with pellets, but they just dont like it and theres a 50% spit rate. I am trying to give them hikari food sticks (my arowanas eat this).

So if i am patient enough, will they eventually take food sticks, or should i give up on this?

Also, is krill enough for nutrition atm, cause they dont like blood worms anymore and I hate getting feeders.

Its up to you, I only give fdkrill as a treat. I would try not giving them krill as much and feeding them the pellets regularly. If u keep giving them their favorite food, they wont be eager to eat other things.

If they are still 4.5 inches, give try Hikari Food Sticks to see if they will take floating food. Or try Hikari Carnivore pellets if they prefer sinking food. Those 2 types of food from Hikari is easily eaten by p-bass. They will take to it really fast. Floating krill is great for them also.

What I do to my fish I let it without food for three days then start feeding them pellet food...It works on all my fishes; tiger shovel nose cat, red tail cat, arowana and florida gar.

Break up the aro sticks or pellets and sprinkle some in llittle at a time. Always feed in the same corner until they are used to it. And always try in the morning when they are the most hungry. Be patient. Dont give up, if you really want them on pellets.

I dont believe in starving your fish on purpose. There should be no reason to starve your fish. I think people that starve their fish should starve themselves too.

feed them prawn with half a massivor pellet in it or maby a little smaller then once they eat that rub the pellet with prawn so it slimy and they just swollow it now myn eat dry pellet thats how i did it

revival Love your reply. Crack me up!!

lol. Seriously though I believe in patience and training and not starving the poor fish. Makes me wonder if these people that starve their fish had their parents starve them as kids to have them eat what their parents wanted them to eat?:screwy:
