MOVING PEA GRAVEL FROM TANK TO TANK

I'm going to move a few pounds of peagravel from the bottom of my 55 guppy tank, to the sump for my 125.

I've got the gravel spread out on a table outside, it's currently 40 F/ 4 C. Should drop down to freezing by 10 pm tonight.

If they dry out and freeze, could I bring the stones in tonight to prevent any cross contamination?

Or should I leave them out for a few days?

when you get bacteria cold they dont die off... they just dont reproduce... to thoroughly kill off all beacteria you need to look at the opposite end of the spectrum
