Moving Red Bellys...

I will soon be upgrading my 2 RBs into a 55gal tank is it alright to use a normal net?They are 3.5" and 3" respectively or will they bite thru it?? Any help is appreciated.

even at 3" they will chew right through the net. lower the water level then use a bucket to scoop them out, then you can gentle pour them in the new tank.

Yes in a couple of seconds they will slice open a net. Even if he got the first out he wouldn't be able to get the second one because the net would be trash by then.

Yes. But best to use something wide as possible so they swim in it and not around it.

ill be moving them across a room,do you guys think a 55gaql tank is big enough for 2 red bellys?

Piranhas will literally chew through the net within fractions of a second. dont underestimate them or you will learn the hard way.

I'm going to my lfs to see if I could borrow one of those containers they use when they scoop out a fish to bag it
