Canada... i wish.
ok well i just started my 125 gal project and should be done by this weekend and i was wondering what is the best way to move him.

my plan:
1. lower the water level to about 6 inches and use a large pond net to get the aro out...
2. same as step 1 but use a clean white pillow case to get the aro out.

plus id also like to measure the aro before adding to new tank... so how long do i have?

Barbels and eyes can be damaged by nets and pillow cases. As gshock stated use the plastic bag method.

Better if you can just bag the aro. Nets and even the pillow cases cause too much damage

hmm will it hold the aro down a flight of stairs? im affraid he will rip the bag

where can i get a "heavy" duty bag?

Go to your LFS and see if they have any of the large shipping bags and then double bag that.

alright cool, i'll check out my lfs tomorrow after school

I moved my 24" arowana 2 months ago, I lower the water level below half tank and I tried to use the biggest clear bag but failed.
Finally I put a bucket inside the tank wait it get in and used a towel to cover the bucket and move that's it

^ thats what im affraid of if he break the bag mid way going down my stairs since the 125 will be on the first floor of my house instead of second.

You can use a clear trash bag to catch him, and then put the bag with the fish inside into the bucket and carry it around. That's how I moved my 4 arowanas each 2ft long before. Very easy and simple. good luck
