What do you think the best way to move a tank 7ft foward???
Should I take the fish out and water or leave the fish in and lower it as much as I can and then move.

tank size would help us help you.removing fish is not nessasary if you are only moving it forward 7 feet but yes lower water as much as you can . is tank on wood floor, carpet cement ? cant help with no info .

If you're due for a water change, drain half the water into buckets or another container. You can keep the fish in the buckets until you get the tank moved.Put the water back and the fish after you have enough water in.Then top off with fresh(new) water.

If the tank is holding everything on your sig list, remove the fish and water to move the tank. I figure you're talking about at least a 125gal to hold all those fish. Aside from the couple hundred pounds of tank weight, you're also going to have to contend with 100 or so pounds of gravel. If you leave just a couple of inches of water in the tank, that's another 120 pounds of weight. Placing that much side-drag on a stand may cause the stand to flex and break. Don't take risks by short-cutting. Break the system down to a series of manageable weights and then move everything to the new spot.

After reading Oddball's post I realized I wasn't clear about something. The water in buckets you keep. The rest you discard to have an empty tank. This empties the tank and performs a large water change. This is what I've done in the past when moving.I once moved 6 5gal buckets w/tank water up 3 flights of stairs helping a buddy move a 100gal.He promised to fill the buckets with beer when we finished. He lied.:(

:iagree: not to mention, thats a lot of stress on the seams of the tank

Its a 135gal,I have a about 80pounds of gravel and thats it.The stand has only two canister filters inside of it.I went to walmart and I seen some containers,Can I putt the Arro in there during the move. The floor is slate.
