moving tanks

The bigger problem is the stand...it is going to be bigger than the tank.

I always thought they came disassembled and I could just build it in the room I wanted. Could I disassemble the stand they reassemble it?

yeah, tipping it on its side should be easier than removing the door.

and it depends on the kind of stand your getting, but none of the pre-made wood ones I've seen can be disassembled.

really? oh and there is almost no probability I'm getting this size tank. when i asked my parents a year ago they said no and heres why. since the main issue was getting into my room, i have to find out if i can actually get it through my doorway. the rest is easy.

also how much would this size tank weigh empty if it's acrylic?

Are you handy? If you build the stand yourself, you can make it in a way that you can dissemble and reassembly it.

Personally I would just settle for a 24" wide tank. You can make it 30 inches tall...the stand would be smaller. An acrylic tank of this size would weight about 200 lbs

I'd really appreciate the 30" width as would my gar. But I would settle for 24" if it came down to it. Building the stand is a possible option.
