Hi in the next few months i need to move a 300g (8x2x3) from my parents house to my house 2 hours drive away.
I am planning to house the fish in the lfs, then drain the tank and then load the tank and stand in to a van and drive it to my house.
Next i will thoroughly wash the gravel with a pressure washer ( it needs it) and then set the tank up.
I will install the filter when the tank is filled and dechlorinated and then i will add some of my convicts and leave the tank to settle for a week or two,
Testing the water for ammonia/nitrate every day.
If all is well :
i will gradually add the previous fish to the tank: fire eel, synos, girrafe cat, texas cichlid, parrots.

Is this a reasonable plan ? i have moved plenty of smaller tanks over the years (22) but i am worried as these fish are my favorites..

any tips welcome...
