I have the painful joy of moving my fish from Montgomery, AL to Orlando, FL. Before anyone asks...I have already checked on the legalities of keeping the fish I have in FL and all are legal. All I need to know is the "how" part of this process. I have plenty of bags and I can get the necessary styro cooler(s). What I need to know is that since I do not have access to pure O2, will a good amount of atmospheric air in the bag along with "Bag Buddies" suffice for the trip or do I need to take bigger/ additional measures in order to allow the fish at least 12 hours worth of comfort? (I did say comfort as I would like for them to not be gasping or suffering at the 12 hour mark even though I should only have them in the bag a max of 9-10 hrs through breakdown and set-up in addition to the trip.

People that ship with bag buddies generally say they are good for 48 hrs or so. When I moved my fish a 4 hr drive but it takes way longer to set up the tanks fill them and put the fish in then the travel time. I lined coolers with black garbage bags to keep it dark used a inverter that plugged into the car lighter. Used a heater and a air pump for the drive switching the two between coolers on the drive. Water stayed at 80 and the fish were not showing sign of stress.

Thanks for the information...all fish survived the move and ate for the first time last night since arrival at their new home. Had 2 close calls with one of my styro fish boxes having a leak and the fire eel ended up on the carpet (man they can jump!) at one point but all made it begrudgingly into the tank and are all doing very well.
