also i found some nice slat in the creek behind my house and if i power wash it the put it in the oven would that help if so how long and what temp thanks

You want to put the oscar in the 10 for while you move the 75, right? How big is the oscar? Why don't you just fill the 10g with used water from the 75? If you're asking how long to cycle the 75 after you set it back up, I would think it will be fine as soon as you fill it back up since you are using 50% old water. Just make sure you remove the chlorine if it is in your tap water.

Also how long do you think it will take to move the 75, depending on the size of the oscar I wouldn't leave it in the 10g for more than a day or 2.

A good scrubbing on the slate should be enough if you want to bake it won't hurt but I don't think its necessary. As far as the move goes if you save half of the water you should be go to go as far as adding the fish back into the tank. The more water you can save the better. I see a bunch of people who do weekly 50% water changes with no problems so......You should be go to go.

Can you put the filter on the ten or run it in a bucket if its going to to be off longer than 20 minutes so you don't crash the filter?

Saving half the water is like doing a 50% W/C so your good there.

yeah i am goin to put the filter and the 10 is empty and the oscar is only like 2 1/2 in and it will only take me like an hour to move the tank
