I want to move my 90 Gallon from the kitchen into the living room. Its about 30 feet or so.

Any tips on making the move simple and safe for the fish?

any time i move a tank from one room to another, i use 20G coolers, or tubs for the fish. then u can throw the water from the cooler in the tank to help speed up cycling. also make sure you have help... i just moved my 75G by myself, and it wasn't fun.

Rubbermaid makes really useful 30g plastic tubs. Go buy a few transfer majority of the water into those with your fish..that way you have a good portion of already good to go water. The when you move the tank, add a bit of new water and as much of the water thats in the tubs with your fish. Then move your fish. Ive done this a few times, works like a charm, and not so rough on the fish.

^^

also waiting till its time for a water change helps that way you can just dump like 30-50% of the water..
