ok mfk I'm moving in less than two months and I'm upgrading tanks with the move 30g to a 120g (hopefully nothing less than 75) I'm not moving to far at most 15mins so transporting fish isn't much of a prob I'm needing to know if this would work for cycling I need it done quick Im planning on saving water out of old tank and transporting it to new and I'm saving up used filters going to float them in water run in addition to new filter old one to help with cycling will this work quick? Any thing else to help besides old décor and what I've said above??

something to put oxygen in the tank some sort of air pump wil help the bacteria

Sounds like you have it pretty much covered. Just run your old filter on the tank for a couple weeks and you should be fine.

oh wait do u mean Ill be ok to go ahead and add the fish then just leave the old filter on?

As long as you don't add any mor fish, you old filter will handle the load just as it did before. Gallonage isn't that important for transferring. Give the new filter time to take on the benificial bacteria and you should be good to go.
