Moving???

I will be moving about 2 hours away and was just wondering the best way to do it. I think I will be using 5 gallon buckets for the fish, but should I take the substrate with me as well or can I trash it and get something new? I've been wanting to get new substrate anyway. Do I need to use an air pump or is it not necessary a 2 hour drive? Any advice would be great.

It will be two 6" oscars and a 6" common pleco

In separate buckets?I think theyd be fine.Keep the filter media wet.Now is a great time to change the substrate.
