Chicago
Hey guys I haven't been here awhile been out and about looking for a new job and whatnot. I landed a job in Chicago and I will be moving this Friday.

I need your suggestions on the best way of going on moving my fish its only a 2-3 hour drive depending on traffic on the way there so.

I was just thinking of bagging my fish in bags and keeping them in a tub or something for the trip and have the tank setup first when I get there. My other option was gonna be have them in water inside of a rubber maid container and have an air pump in the car and leave them in there till I can set up

But I wont be driving the vehicle will be on a u-haul hitch and taken that way. I'm afraid of draining the battery since the vehicle will not be running. plus having the water sloshing around too much and mess up the interior carpet with fish water.

I'm gonna stop feeding the fish wednesday since they will be packed up on Friday morning for the haul. so there will be less waste in the bag water inside. Any suggestions will help Thanks a lot in advance

So Anyone have any suggestions on which would be the best method on moving them? Any thing would be nice....Thanks

go buy some rubbermaid totes and put them in you will be fine for a few hours un;ess they are large fish or alot in a little bin then you will need air and heat wont be a problem unless there in the back of a truck or in an unheated area... should be fine I have brought fish back from chicago and its almost 6 hours for me so you should be fine... and yes its fine to leave them in a rubbermaid for a day or so as long as there not crowded in.. just keep it covered with little or no light that helps to calm them.. what kind of fish are ya movin??

The only big fish are my O's JD and Catfish I was gonna get three large begs from a local LFS and stick them in there with alot of water, everything else is below 2 inches which are my cons im sure they will be fine in a big bag as well I was gonna put each big O and JD in a bag on their own.

I was gonna go with the bag method to be slightly easier for my since me and my friend are the only ones doing the loading and myself with the unloading so with that said, Will the two hour trip to chicago be fine with them bagged. I was gonna have towels in with the fish to preserve some warmth of the water

u'll b fine another good thing would be to get one of them battery powered air stone
