the dirty south
hey everyone i might be moving within the year not for sure yet but its a possibility and just wondering if i do how i would go about getting my 150 gallon tank to alabama from across the country i am most likely going to be shipping boxes of my personal belonging in the mail and flying there i think i might have to sell all my tanks and just use the money to buy a new tank when i get there ive been looking on cl for that area and im not seeing anything close to the size i want so does any one on the site live in alabama im going to be moving to shelby al on lay lake so anyone in that area know where to get tanks or have any tanks 150g and up that might be for sale in the next year or so? let me know guys thanks

im flying there i got a quote on how much it would cost to have a truck company move them and it was close to 3000 with that i could just buy a new tank i think i just have to sell it and hopefully be able to find one 150 or over in bama

if your moving across the country it's better to just sell the tank and buy another one
as the cost of transporting will either be similar to the cost of the setup or more. or
look into a logistic company headed to where your moving and ask them for a quote.
usually a logistics company will do you the favor of shipping it for you but you risk
damage to the tank as there no insurance or guarantees for shipping aquariums unless
they are a logistics for that purpose. but usually they will bubble wrap it and use a thick
fabric or sort to cover it before shipping to prevent damages...

this is what i use to do when i worked with my uncle at his logistic company.
good side money when there is business for it lol...

Yeah I got a quote for a moving company 3000 bucks I can get a badass tank for that much so I will either look into what you said or just sell all my tanks and then buy a new one once I get back there I hope I can find a big one for cheap would rather buy used so I get it cheaper

What part of AL are you moving to? I'm in the process of moving to Jackson, AL myself. If you're looking for a tank, I should have a few available in the 150 to 360 gal sizes

sorry for the late reply but anyways ill be moving onto lay lake al in shelby county about 160 miles from jackson but if the price is right then i would be interested im not moving until next year will you still have them for sale and how much for each of them keep in touch im interested in them or whatever you have in the future 150 is the smallest size tank i weant i dont want to downgrade nice seeing a fellow mfker in bama talk to you soon
