i just got rid of some things and bought 10 mpimbwe frontosa any advice on feeding i want them to grow out good and eat all the good stuff
any suggestions would be sweet:headbang2

Best food for frontosas IMO, hands down NLS Thera-A. If they are small, until you grow them out you can use the Cichlid Formula 1mm.

Avoid any floating pellets, sticks etc.

Sinking feed is best as there is a lot of debate about whether floating food can lead to bloat and them floating etc.... a really good food which is availabe over here i dont know if it is over in the states is 'New Era, african cichlid sinking pellets'. They are a really good sinking pellet and are soft so help prevent bloating as they dont swell up inside the fishes stomach. They can also be moulded into a larger pellet.

The new life spectrum food is supposed to be good although ive never tried it my uncle has a large colony of big burundi and he likes to feed tetra doromin and spirulina flake.

Everybody has their own preference :)

congrats on your new fronts.. hope to see u post pics soon!

for juvies i feed them with spirulina flakes and NLS 1mm. When they grow a few more inches , i feed them with nls pellets and frozen krills or chopped frozen market shrimp for treats..
gl with your fronts

I have used New Life Spectrum on Africans before and that with a combination of frozen foods (beef heart, blood worms, brine shrimp, ect) really brought out the color on them. Weekly water changes won't hurt either... Keep us posted on their progress!!!
