Since monitor posts seem to be in, here's the big guy at Moody Gardens. He's around seven feet long now. Not for nothing that he's named Mr. Awesome..
I got some good videos too, if anyone knows how to upload AVCHD videos to YouTube, let me know... Anyways, enjoy the pics.

I don't have any recent ones of him up there for size reference, I'll try to get some soon.

Here are some from around six months ago.. Hard to see the difference, but you can tell the plants have taken off.

Awesome crocodile monitor!

Did they raise him from a baby? I noticed that he's in pretty good shape and appears to have all of his tail which is why I ask.
I never asked how long he's been here, I know he is WC though. If I had to guess, he was probably raised from a baby.. I'll ask.
Most of the animals are off exhibit for quite some time at first. A second Chinese Water Dragon has only just been released in there, so now there's two. There are also some other things in the back that will go on exhibit sometime soon, not sure when yet.

Oh he's a pretty one!

Looks like he has absolute rule of that rock.

He does. He goes on frequent forays around his exhibit, but returns to that rock quite often.
