two things you'll notice.
1. i have some legit algae going on
2. mr. midasjeezy isn't legit without a fat azs hump

what are your mad citrinellus hump conditions?
i'm trying to get this guy back in the game.

i power feed him - probably 8 servings of pellets a day, he makes sure there isn't anything left over.
usually at night, every few nights, i'll throw in some mysis, worms or something tasty.

could the little midas in the tank be the reason he doesn't have a head fatter than rosie o'donnell ?
he had a fat hump for a period of time, but then one day it just stopped.
what could be causing him to get some hump.. and then it disappears?
give me some tips lol.

some sexy algae hey? don't worry about it.
btw, he's 11-12", i don't know if he's a foot, i'd have to take him out of the tank and measure him.
but he's about 1/4 the length of the tank pretty much.

NIce!!

lol really? you have a hairy azs pot?

How often do you do water changes? If you do them twice a week (I know that it sounds excessive), you will notice a change in the rate of growth. Keep your fish in ideal water conditions, not only will the health of the fish improve, but you will notice great improvements in color and growth including the hump.

lol actually, i doo water changes atleast twice a week, about 50-60% each time.
and it does seem excessive.

my water is probably the cleanest i have ever seen.

i also run a rena xp4 and a fluval 404 on this tank.
i'm thinking of scraping the 404 though and just getting another xp4 though.

i've also been considering buying something like a 180 Gallon - 6 x 2 x 2 or something bigger.
this guy deserves a big tank.

Is the other midas in the tank a female? If it is then that might be the problem.

i wish it was, but i'm 99% sure it's a little male.
it's about 6".

i'm putting this little guy in my buddies 125.
he has about 5 or 6 years with citrinellus.
he had one then one day it just died, along with all of his other fish.
pretty amazing actually.

well see how my big guy does by himself now with the little guy gone.

so no ones got any ideas hey? =(
