Mr. O just died...

Well i was working on fixing one of my filters for my 55 gallon tank (something was causing impeller to stick, just a little bit of debris) and i took part of my glass hood off of the tank. well while i'm in the bathroom cleaning out the filter and impeller, i hear a loud crash/thunk. the oscar jumped out of the tank nailed something and then hit the floor. he must have had some force in his jump because it really screwed him up. i put him back in the tank and he was gone in less then an hour.

he was kind of retarded and i don't like oscars that much, but he was a rescue and was still pretty cool

awww sorry to hear bout that. I love oscars, just wish they could realise that staying in the tank is much more beneficial to them.

Sorry to hear that.
I had one do it years ago even with the tops on.
He managed to fly out the space between the tank and tops (I had no plastic back there), smash the wall, and fall behind the tank.
Time I found him, he was jerky.
Still a cool, personable fish, though I don't keep them anymore.

well tommarow i'm going to omaha so i'll probably come home with another fish to "ease the pain" i'll be looking at GT's JD's and salvini's.... whichever one catches my eye or if i can find a good sized one of any of them i'll probably end up with that one.
