Looking great, and impressive kok growth for just a couple of months, well done. Of course everyone knows genetics rule but out of curiosity what are you feeding him?
Thanks Islandguy! Genetics totally rule! But keeping these guys happy with their tank condition is even more important! Truth be told I thought I was going to lose him to internal parasites about 1.5 months ago! At the same time fight algae bloom in the tank. Long story short. Bought a canister filter to take place of HOB. Feed garlic soaked mealworms. Now he's back to eating this stuff.
I've had this for over a year now. Got it when I purchased my first flowerhorn.
They are always hungry, but I have to control the urge to feed them too much. So I try to only feed twice a day.

These two have spawned multiple time with no luck... =(

Should I be turning off my canister and only run sponge filters before spawning starts?
