I have upgraded my 55 gal to a 90 gallon tank after the big move. I knew Mr. Pleco was about 6in at the time. Today, he was on his daily wander around the tank and he sat still on the front glass long enough for me to run up and look at his tummy/admire him. I noticed he seemed big, so I placed my hand on the glass for comparison, immediately, I noticed he grew! I bolted out of the garage and into my kitchen to find the tape measure and flew back to the tank. Luckily he was still chilling on the glass. I put the tape measure against the glass and wow, he grew over 2 inches! He is now 8 inches and 1 centimeter long!!! I am so happy my Mr. Pleco is growing!
Hopefully I can get a picture of him tomorrow!
Anyone else have pictures of their big 'ol Plecos to share?

That's awesome :3 What kind of pleco? Mine is a common about 12 inches long so far and I think it was around 10 when I first got him..

He is a P. J. Pleco (Pterygoplichthys Joselimaianus), sold as a common Pleco.
Here are a few old pics of him(6in).
...seems like I misplaced the pics of when he was a cute wee baby, but I will find them!

very interesting body shape... looks... different. to say the least.
i like him. :)

Well, the second pic of him that makes him look very round, it's because he swam to the glass and his back end was still far off.

aah, alright. still a pretty fish :)

That's actually a pic of him in the 130gal I had for a short time. But tilt him/his tail away from the glass another inch, and that's basically how he was for the newer pic.
Seems all my pics of him are on my external hard drive, so I have to go dig it out of a box to get baby pictures of him.
