Mr.Plecostamus Is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning to a dead 6" bushynose plecostamus . His gill flares are wide open as if he was trying to defend himself. And his stomach is bulging out of its body. And theirs brownish discoloration around his throat....

I have a 9" synodontis catfish she's the only other big fish in their. The rest of the fish are all under 3". I fed him algae wafers. I tried looking for him last night couldn't find him...

Looks like maybe it died of bloat.

The algae wafer brand is kens. Other foods that end up in this tank include nls extra small pellet size, omega1 medium floating, hikari carni sticks sinking, and cheap tetra flakes crushed extremely fine for the babies.

I honestly couldn't tell you. No more than 24 hours without a doubt. Probably around 6-8 hours or ~15 hours ago.

What I'm thinking is whatever was in his gut when he died just rotted and released gas and thats why hes all bloated like that, so I don't think he died of bloat. I find dead Carp and other fish dead like that here in the river all the time.

It was worrying last night when I fed the fish the pleco didn't come out. And he has NEVER done that before...

Nope. Nothing i can see. A couple stressed, hiding fish I can't see but the rest of the fish look fine.
