well im a highschool senior so im looking for a school next year. i really like msu but i want to be able to fish while at school. after some searching i found that the grand river is only a couple miles from the campus and has some bass and such in it. i was wondering if anyone here has fished this river near the lansing area and if so what types of bait did you use. i also know there is the red ceader river which runs through campus but the fishing in there is poor.

i know, my brother made that same mistake. im just stuck between school and i want to make the right choice so im thinking of all the plus and minuses

You can fish anywhere in Michigan, literally. I can't go 2 miles without finding somewhere to fish. Even runoff ponds next to our grocery stores you can catch fish in. All I ever use is a white jig. You can catch pan fish, bass, and whatever else you want on them.
