pleco and clown loach tankmates kept on sucking discus slime coat, so gettin rid of everything and just arowana and polypterus with discus

Plecos will attach themselves to discus, there seems to be something in the slime coat that makes them do that, not recommended tank mates

I've never had my albino bristlenose bother my discus. Also I've never heard of clown loaches doing it, that is a new one to me: but have heard of ottos attaching and other types of plecos.

Plecos will sometimes attach to discus if they don't get enough to eat. Once they get a taste for the slime, it's almost impossible to make them stop this behaviour. Some people buy plecos and let them scavenge for food, never feeding them. This can be a mistake, because the pleco starves, and then that's when the "sucking" starts.

certain plecos exhibit this behavior. I'd yank his butt out of there. Some species of pleco aren't known to do this. I've never see a bn do it. But bottom line I'd pull out anything messing with my discus.

Yeah, me too. I have 47 discus at the moment, and they come first over the other fish.
