just wondering, have anyone of you guys seen mud as a substrate in a tank before? is tht even possible? i cant imagine how long it would take to settle it down. but i bet it would look cool.

A lot of people do it for planted tanks but I think they cap it with sand or gravel. I think I might have seen 1 on YouTube tho... I will try to find it

I thought I had but I've just found the Vidio again it it was actually capped with very fine gravel.

Dustinsfishtanks on YouTube. I seen one of his tanks he was using mud. Like stated above I think it was layered with sand
