sorry about the pic on the eggs. they are on a real big rock and the tank is really deep so hard to lift it up with one hand take a pic with the other, I dont like to keep them out of the water more than a few seconds as I am unsure if it will harm them any.

It will not hurt them to be out of water for a minute or so..It will only bother them if you dessicate them which would take a bit of time. You need to watch those eggs carefully and make sure that if one goes bad you get rid of it quickly. Do not take cloudy as meaning bad though as this is normal. What is not normal is threadlike fungus spreading from one egg to the others around them.

I'm taking it that the female is no longer caring for them? Or is she?
Did she lay these underneath or on top of the rock?

It is not unusual to get spawns out of these when you catch them in the winter as the female holds the fertilized eggs from the previous fall and then lays them in spring. It is tricky to get them to do what you want though and often if your not careful about temp and dissolved oxygen you will quickly lose the young when they hatch. Keep the temp very low (not above 70F) and keep a good waterflow at all times in the tank.

This is actually a rarely documented event BTW so I would encourage you to try to do so.

the rock was layed across another at a slant like a cave the eggs were underneath when i found them. the female is still staying in the cave as well. as for white, there was about 5-8eggs that had white on them and they were all strung togather and I scraped them off as soon as I found them. the temp is about 65-70 and there is a powerhead behind the rock as well pushing current through the cave. not very strong but noticable.
