Does anyone have any experience with these? My local baitshop has one that I can take if I want it. Any advise at would be appreciated.

It may possibly be a siren of some sort as well, I didnt see very well defined/feathery gills

I have kept several types of salamanders and their larva, but never mud puppies. They have all been easy to care for and readily accept crickets and one even ate pellet food after a while. Good luck and I hope you get it.

Make absolutely sure you do not get a larval tiger salamander.

They can be labeled in baitshops as mud puppies or water dogs, but are not the same thing as the true Mudpuppy (Necturus spp.).

Tiger salamanders will end up as colorful, terrestrial relatives of the Axlotl/Axolotl.

Thanks for the info and the link!!

They dont have anything labeled btw, they just throw all of their oddities from their minnow tanks into a 20 gallon aquarium, which is now overcrowded and they are glad to offload a few animals. They don't know exactly what each spieces is, they even confused a mudminnow for an burbot.
