I am wondering on how i can make a tide in my upcoming mudskipper tank. And i was thinking like a box under the water. And having it upside down wit holes in it. And having something under it making it float up and down. Anyone have a working one wit a plan or any better ideas. Imma use miracle mud.

tide like a current?

like a high tide and low tide to get the land to rise up. Like when the box raises the water lvl drops off the box. And it lets water in and goes back down

hmm. cool idea. you could run a powerhead on a timer to a container. then another back to the tank. that way you could control when and how long high and low tides were. just an idea.

or build an overflow so there's constantly water ready to go out but put a timed sprinkler system valve on it so it drains at a certain time but only to a certain level, hence the overflow, then pump it back to the tank on another timer.

just ideas, i would like to see this materialize though, seems like a cool idea.

i like the idea but instead of a dprinkler i could run another valve and jsut run it into the tank.

i also got a gr8t idea for a lid. Take some kind of water proof lid or take ly wood and water seal it. And have a heat lamp hanging down use it for light and heat. When there out so the whole tank temp is rised and i could haea water heater runnin too. But i have to have no gaps in the lid so they cant get out.

I could run water through the pipe using a power head with a timer. Into the 10 gallon. Then run it bak up with another powerhead. Making the water lvl rise and lower. Using another timer. I dont know if it will work but anyone got some input.
