So, I've got a 10g tank just lying around, and I.....well, really want mudskippers ...So, do you think three indian mudskippers would be alright?

And even though its a small tank, would I be able to add a fiddler crab? :nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly::nilly:

Thanks for any replies :D

yes you can. and which species of fidler? just my opion but add a block and do the brackish water on one side and reef mud on the other. that way the skippers make burrows and so will the crabs. you could do like 3 skippers and maybe 3-6 mini fidlers, like the ones at petsmart. good luck

That sounds pretty cool actually...Thanks for the reply, man!

One more question...Does anyone know if a filter is needed?
I've seen some articles saying a monthly water change would do fine because they can tolerate high amounts of ammonia...But I'm not sure that would be very kind on the fish?

My 2 cents ? YES ! get a filter! Not only is this nicer for the mudskippers, it will save you a lot of trouble. Cleaner water means healthier fishes regardless of their tolerance level. I like the fact that I don't have to be paranoid about my skippers dying because of less than ideal water param (as opposed to stingrays for example) but I strongly recommend playing on the safe side
