Welcome to MFK :welcome:

You need marine salt (not aquarium salt) to manage brackish conditions. Most importantly for muddies is some land platforms for them to be able to get out of the water column. I would suggest you look into floating turtle docks, they work great. Sand and other items are really up to you but need to adequatly house the muddies and be able to filter the tank accourdingly. Good luck!

i could possibly get a 40g tank from my friend. do you think that would be good for 2 mudskippers??:mwave:

This section doesn't get much traffic, gotta be patient man. It depends on what species your looking to get. A 40g would be fine for quite a few more if you go the indian muddy route. If you get the atlantic or african, no a 40g will not work as you will only end up with one in the end.

Have a go at the search feature on this section, there is some pretty good advice on various different threads you might find interesting.
