Somebody please break down this situation to me,Ive been reading on it but sometimes the news sites like to over complicate things.Whats happening now?Thanks for any help.

I thought it was mugby 
they had an election to run the country.
mugabe lost but know one knows how much as he did not release the results.
he said it was not enough of a win to take control so another vote was needed.
for weeks before the next poll he went arund killing opposition and intimadating people into voting for him.
the opposition pulled out of the election after many were killed and mugabe the only other candidate won.
many people will die.

Mbeke of south africa had planned the same thing but had the sense to wait and see how it panned out...they have seen it didnt go too well so are trying more 'gentle' ways of increasing black ownership. Mugabe is still however a hero and any move against him would go down very badly in the townships with the poor voters. SA could shut mugabe down as all power to zimbabwe comes from them, but politiclly to side with whitey would be suicide.
We can not do anything as anything we do is framed as a return of the colonial powers and would be bitterly resisted guerilla stylee in an area where there are no shortage of fighters looking for a beef. There would be massive sympathy for mugabe in the surrounding countries, and we would end up in another aghanistan...
This leaves few options. The most likely being the clandestine arming of the MDC and the commencement of a second civil war that will further destablise the whole region and condem africans to decades more of poverty....

as already stated, many people will die....but that is the plight of Africa..

Well said Miguel. The worst disease you can suffer from is the self pity of victimhood. We well and truely hoofed the s**t out of germany in 1945...flatted everything, killed millions and left them starving...now they are the third biggest economy and the worlds LARGEST exporter, and dont say its cause of the marshall plan cause we shafted them after WW1 even worse and 25yrs later they were kicking our collective asses!
China, colonised now whooping us, all the asian tigers the same. Britian was ruined after the war. Who helped us rebuild? We only finished paying war reparations to the US a couple of years ago!!!! All these peoples got up brushed themselves down, stopped whining and worked their knuckles too the bone! That is the true way out of poverty. Stop fighting amoungst yourselves, get a relatively stable government and work your arse of, then you grandchildren can be well off!

You're right ,but will the fighting stop, and many of these people are already overworking themselves for little or nothing. I think that the a large part of the government aid being sent out is embezzled by local tyrants or commodities are heavily taxed. Then there are the mass genocides and wars. How much should be help? I wouldn't know.
