I have decied to make make 75 gallon into a eel tank. I'm gonna put in about 5 inches of sand, lots of plants (fake and live), clay pots and a adult cow skull. I'm transforming a ten gallon into a ghost shrimp holding tank, I have a worm farm, and I will have frozen blood worms as well. Sound good?

Any way I am going to get a wittle baby peacock eel at my LFS, they get them in now and then. Can I get the baby now and add more later on? How many could I keep in the tank, if any more than one?

i say 4 but make sure there all the same size...

Alrighty. Would a 2-3 inch difference be okay?

it depends. how long would the largest one of the group be?

Well they are usually brought in around 4 inches. So that would be the smallest I would add possibly.

I take it it's just better to avoid it. :]

Zig zags are great if you want to keep multiple of the same species together. they also stay fairly small. even peacocks will get in the 12" range so realistically a 55 wouldn't be able to hold more then 2-3 full life. Zig zags are usually lucky to get over 8" and ime co-habitate with eachother just fine.

Personally I've found peacocks to be just as territorial as my larger species of spineys.

Alright I can do just one. My options are peacocks or fire eels. Since I am lacking a 150 gallon tank I think I'll get the peacock.
