What do you think the best arrangement is for 2 canisters? I switched the AC110 on one tank (its too loud for the area it was in) with the fluval 404 on another tank. So now one tank has a sump and an AC, and the other has two 404s. What the best configuration for the intake/output?

I have two cannisters on my 180 and the intakes are in the rear corners of the tank and the returns are setup with one as a spray bar on the left side and the other is on the right rear wall facing forward towards the middle.

thats how i have my 2 canisters too. exact same configuration.

Whenever I do multiple canisters, I try to set the tank up in zones, so each filters output is directed so it's flow eventually moves back into the area where I have the intake. My 180 has 2 canisters and a sump, each intake is in a back corner, the outputs are toward the center of the tank, slightly angled toward it's respective corner and the sump output in centrally located with a PVC tee and 90 degree fittings angled toward the front of the tank for more random water movement.
