Has anyone ever had success in raising a bunch of jar's from babies to adulthood in an aquarium? I would love to hear about any stories of success or it would be amazing to see photos.

I don't know about a jar community you definatley as you watch jars. They:D are watching everything maybe if your tank was huge 600 plus but in close quarters i'm thinken no!! But if someone has done it on here they will let ya know!!

i have two 3 inch jars in a 240gallon, i already see an aggressor.

i think it would be just hit or miss. the worst part of a agressive community tank, you dont know who killed what fish. so you cant take out the agressor.

iv had 2 jar+other aro in tank no fighting but i sold em off

its worth a try i had a bunch at my work of all sizes they dont seem as aggressive as people say thats why i finally decided to put on in my tank..the aggression should distribute pretty well

i had 3 at 3" in together...one was very agressive tward the other 2...i took it out...the 2 are working things out, though they killed a silver i put in to test out, and i had to take it out of the agressive jars time out tank...i will try to put it back in after the others are healed

For how long Hao? I'd really doubt that you had this setup for a long enough time to bring out the natural behavior of these fish. My experience failed, but that's just mine.

I know you're 14 and am glad that you have interest in keeping aros at this young age for this long. jlnguyen and others know you and would back most of your statements/knowledge here, but sometimes I couldn't help but having doubts...:D

Well my attempt failed as well! The 4 inch jar messed up my green & silver pretty bad so i had to trade him in for a 2 incher. I've had a lot of jars over the years and i have yet to own a non aggressive/non active Jardini. If i video tape my tank, you would see all aros including my rtg just hanging out in each different corner except the baby jar of course, swimming non stop all around the tank. Don't get me wrong though, i am still going to attempt having a jar in my aro com. I also have a friend whom is currently housing 3 juvenile jars in his 100gal for the last 3 months with no fatalities. I'll try to update ::popcorn:

This is the type of experience that I was wanting to hear about.

I know this is running before I start jogging but when I own my very first aro, I want to start with a community aro tank and not just raise one at a time. One day I will have this community. If not one jar maybe two or three pluse a few blacks. When I monitor this, I hope to have nice jars that can exist with others. If I end up with aggressive jar's then I will solve that problem if that problem occurs.
