Sounds like trouble to me. I think that you would be better off with 2 females to one male. Even then sometimes the males can hurt the females but it depends on your male. You might want a backup aquarium or at least a divider until they get too big. I personally keep the sexes separated until its time to breed them. Besides it is a good excuse for another tank. Good luck!
Two males to 1 female is not a good ratio. Either the males will fight or both try to mate with the female and possibly beat her up. I've had 1 to 1 ratio and had the female get beat up bad enough that I had to separate them.
I never planned this but I have 3 mature males a mature female and a female not mature yet and they have been fine for over 3 years together. It's not optimal but it is what it is.
Males are going to beat the females regardless. If theirs another male he usually stays away from the aggressive males female. My males know their pecking order. But when the both start giving it to her than I beleive it maybe harder to breed because she gets super stressed and does t agree
well, a friend of mine got a huge tank 3,6m x 2m x 1m, and he has around 7 females and 3 males. During mating, one male ray got beaten badly by the other male and ended up dead.
