I saw mention in another post that there are some good setups out there to consider for quick water changes on multiple tank setups. Looking to see what ideas are out there. Right now I have seven tanks from 26 to 125 gallons. Right now I drain the 125 g with combo siphon to shower and buckets and the fill with attachment to the shower. As that one fills I drain the other tanks with buckets and then just move the hose tank to tank to fill.

I have a 2" PVC line connecting 2 sumps running to my backyard, with the turn of a valve, instead of water going to the sumps, I do a water change on 12 tanks sending old water to the garden. Takes only a few moments to drain a percent of all 12.
I have another 5 tanks in another room, and they drain the same way to my front yard.
All tanks are refilled directly to the sumps from a 1/2 PVC line that winds around the 2 fish rooms, refilling takes about 5 minutes .

i have total of 5 tanks.. from 30gal breeeder to 300 Deep Dimension.. ( 30gal, 75, 120,180, and 300) my basement have the 75, 180 and 300 so i can change water at once in the winter time since i only have a 75gal hot water boiler.. 1st thing all my tanks but one are bare bottom... 30 gal has matrix as gravel.. changing water i would just siphon with sump pump hose that home depot sells for $12.. it's cheap non kink hose 1.25" but at the end of the 25' hose i clamped a 1" PVC to siphon the bottom of the tank in case i have areas with little debris.. then i would other end i just drop it into the drain of my shower in the basement and refilling i have a slap sink...

36 tanks on one wall. All of them are drilled and have shut off valves so that all I have to do is connect a hose and open the valve to drain the tank(s). I can fill using the same plumbing lines, I just attach a different hose.

Remember there are a few ways to help reduce the frequency of water changes! Plants are a good way, especially Pothos, which are very simple to grow and setup. They will consume nitrates making your water more clean. Check out the link below!
