The current batch of multis from Jeff are nothing short of amazing. Totally different from the first go around. Highly recommended!!

Very nice fish and I agree, they are amazing. Mine is just an eating machine who's favorite food is Spirulina lol. Seriously.

Jeff's current stock are very well acclimated to aquarium life and he takes really good care of his stock. My cobra pikes eat the hell out of HBH Super Soft Spirulina, so I am not too surprised to hear about your success with a Spirulina-based feed.

What are your plans(If any) of doing things differently than last time...
The reason I ask is because I might be getting some in the near future
and it would be nice to know what and what not to do......Thanks

Thank you!!
These are about 6-inches or so and very healthy. Jeff's new stock is top notch indeed. If you plan on getting some I would do it ASAP!!! :)

As for differently, just attention to detail. Sometimes when people like me, who have 25+ years experience keeping fishes, think they know everything or are so confident that they can keep anything then a species comes along and beats the shibby out of you.......it's a very humbling experience. In the end, I have a new-found respect for fishes in a glass box.

I miss peacock bass, but I am finding pikes a lot more fun with a lot less space.

They are fantastic, I wish more of the oddball pikes were easier to find in Canada, one day :D

Ray,
Who do you usually buy from in Canada? Oliver?? Spencer??? Are there others that can bring in rare pikes????

I am good friends with Spencer, I help him out at his shop quite a bit, mostly building tank racks. The problem with Canada is that there aren't many direct flights to anything other than Toronto and maybe Vancouver. Unless it comes in on Air Canada, making connections in either of those cities is a nightmare! Also, demand for these pikes is pretty low (in comparison to USA) and it's just not worth it for these guys to order them. . . who could afford a whole box (15-20pcs or more depending on size) of any of the oddballs after freight and reasonable mark up, never mind trying to keep them alive until they sell - we all know how quick pikes can turn on each other at the drop of a hat LOL

As for Oliver, I don't believe that he even sells fish anymore, I met him at ACA in Milwaukee, seems like a good guy, just more interested in the book and travel then selling fish. Besides, I can't afford $100 and up per fish. . . basically his minimum haha

I understand. I have never met Spencer, although we are FaceBook friends. LOL.

It was you who met up with Phillipe at the ACA and got the celidos, right?
