i have a little exeprience with corals so some input would be sweet.. i have 2 kinds of mushrooms in my tank one green shroom and 1 unidentified... i recently moved the two mushrooms into a 10g (origonally in my 32g) my undientified mushroom split in my 32g ...and sence i moved them into my new tank they are doing fine.. my green shroom however has shrunk and not rexpanded for 2 weeks and seems to have one fold that is more pronouced then the rest, im not sure if its something to do with the new lights (high output fluorescent x2 bulbs, my 32g has fluorescent x2 bulbs) or wether its splitting:nilly:

it's the lights probably . They reproduce by pedal laceration "they leave little bits of their foot behind." You could move it to a shadier area and it should perk right back up. Also if your wanting more shrooms put it into a high flow area and it will move to a lower flow area. There should be little mushrooms in it's path.

ok i moved the shroom to a more shaded area, it opened a little bit more but still has on large fold in it, i noticed that in the bottom of the fold there seems to be an exposed area of his foot that is dinconnected from the rock (the rest of the mushroom is still fermly attached).... any input?

It will stick back onto the rock. It might have been or be in the process of moving it's self . I wouldn't mess with it . If it does decide to move follow it's path across the rock there may be baby shrooms in it's path. One of their major ways to reproduce is through pedal laceration ,"leaving bits of foot behind."
