Hey all,

I have a 55g FOWLR with a single Coralife Aqualight with 2 55w 50/50 AGA bulbs in it. I was wondering if it would be possible to successfully have mushrooms, polpys, or possibly even low light corals?

Thanks in advance!

Well if you have enough flow and willing to feed the corals.. You should be fine with sun coral, mushrooms and polyps.. But do try and place them as close to the light as possible..

mushrooms, zoanthids, and soft corals are great for low lighting situation and great beginner coral's. Not to much requirements some supplemental feeding but most nutritional uptake is going to come from detritus, phytoplankton, etc...

Thanks for the advice guys, will start some research on this! Loving the hell out of SW keeping, not as daunting as it seemed, as long as you research, research, research!

great link ^ just anyone using Reefcentral be careful there is too a lot of mis-information from people as well as good information.
