Hello everyone!

So here is my situation.

I have 3 tanks and I need your help placing my stock.

- 90 gallon (48x18)
- 150 gallon (72x18)
- 225 gallon (72x24)

Here are my fish that are young. The aim is to get pairs.

- 6 Paraneetroplus Melenara
- 5 Paraneetroplus Bifasciatas 'Candelaria'
- 7 Parachromis Motaguense 'Red Tiger'
- 6 Parachromis Loisellei 'Panama'
- 6 Thorichthys Ellioti
- 4 Crenicichla Regani's
- 5 Crenicichla Compresiceps

Here is what I'm thinking.
-90 Gallon
Thorichthys and my dwarf pikes

-150 gallon
Ultimately a bonded pair of Loisellei's and a bonded pair of Melenara.

-225 gallon
Ultimately a bonded pair of Red Tiger Motaguense an a bonded pair of Bifasciatus.

Would those Parachromis be compatible with the Paraneetroplus/Vieja's?

Thanks!!!

Given the groups of fish that you have, your plan is what I would do. I don't think the pikes can mix with any of the larger species long term. I haven't kept any large parachromis pairs, so not sure if they will tolerate tank mates as adults.

I don't know how well this is going to work out when you get pairs...I would match the largest growing Vieja with the largest growing parachromis, hoping the vieja can hold their own. Melanarus seem to get slightly larger than bifas IME.

I currently have the comp pikes in a 6ftx18in... They are nasty little buggers, don't back down. I would be careful with then and regani in a 4ft. Just my 2 cents

Thanks guys. I agree, the comps are aggressive. Too many fish!

Are Melanarum mor aggressive than bifas?

Any more opinions?
