Hey guys, I have a small in-ground pond that's about 100 gallons. I thought it might be cool to have a small musk turtle in the pond as long as I give him an area to bask. My only concern is that he may wander off and dry off but don't musk turtles spend a majority of their time in the water? I'm pretty sure they don't come on land often but wanted to hear your suggestions. Thanks

Bump...I'm curious too. My mom has a 125 pond with a 8g fountain and wants a turtle too. She also doesn't want all her fish to be eaten though

Happily married Mommy of 3 babies, 2 fur babies and 15 gilled babies

You can keep musks with fish bigger than them they are quite friendly and are more aquatic than others but you still need to have a basking space and make sure it can't climb out by either making a wall for it, lowering the water level, or covering the pond with mesh to cover the pond up
