what is the best bait/lure out there for catching these monsters?

what is the average size muskie that gets caught?(like in largemouth bass, 2.5lbs)

What pound test line should I use? Is mono line fine, or should I get those wires?

We dont have them in the UK but we do have the northern pike but Esox masquinongy are a member of the same family.

best think i can say is "Don't forget a single strand wire leader" they will bite clean through any mono or braid.

big lures big gear. suick and believer and big 5 or 7 mepps rooster tails. gl lots of fun. they can eat 2.5 lb bass.

dont know average i would say 15 lbs.
