So I was walking on my beach and stepped on one of the hundress of muscles on My beach. Anybody ever toss some on their sandy bottom tank? Would it filter stuff or just atract some pests? ! Ibe only got a dat arowana and loaches in it.

Actually it's 'mussels' and unless you were on a freshwater beach I would say no.
 
Yeah I live on a big lake in florida. I have a huge sump enough room for a hundred or so.

even if they were fresh water..unless your tank was pumping out tons of green water every day, they will starve to death in about 6 months
 
I'm keeping 10 clown loaches in my sump now and they appear fine. Just wondering if there are any fish health issues. I kind of hope it would cut ph as well so I don't have to use as much ro water in the mix

some fresh water ones have a parasitic stage that live in the gills of some fish, they will not affect your ph unless they die and the shells start leaching in to the water., are you talking live ones or just the shells?

again if you do not have tons of green water to feed them or are willing to crush food to a powder and feed them they will starve and die and foul the water.
