Must Ask! Do fish drink their water?

I was recently asked by a 4 year old boy if the fish drink water. Anyone know the answer to this?

theoretically all cells need water in their system... so yes they drink it... the real question is if it is intentionally or is it just absorbed into their system

Freshwater fish drink water (except rays) And saltwater fish do not....
