i have at tank, jardinii, 2 tinfoil barbs, one spotten metynis, 1 flagtail.

i want to put 2 1 foot tiger dats, ones a indo dat, the other is a wide bar dat.
i was told, as i dont have much experience with this fish, i have others but i only have a baby one right now, that these fish are head strong

can i mix them?

i would be very careful with that jar as they normally get far too aggressive for tankmates over about 10"-12",without the jar the tigers should be ok but people normally keep them singly or in groups of 3 or more

i would be just as worried about the 2 tiger/dats fighting if they are the same size

the dats grew up in the same tank from small
they are housed since then to this size. never fought or anything.
i have heard that dats are head strong fish, that fish generally leave them alone - hence prefered company for aros in asia.
my jar now never chases the tinfoils and flagtail and metynis- i guess idealy thye would get along, if not ill move them i guess

worse case, a jardinii wont kill these fish that size in a matter of hours or a day will it?

The aros kept with dats in asia are mostly S.formosus and not S.jardini which are way more agressive than asian aros.

I personally wouldnt risk 12 inch dats to keep a jardini.
Good luck
