I have 6 rare gymnogeophagus 'catalina grande' the biggest about 3". I was thinking of getting some other Geos maybe Altifrons but have read it can be a problem mixing them.

The problem is that altifrons prefer much warmer, constant temps than the cool variable temps the Gymnogeophagus come from.
