Hey guys, well its been a while due to the economic issue but i am almost done with my 110 gallon. I say almost because to me its not yet complete, i want to get more decorations in there and a fluval fx5 :naughty:. I bought this tank with stand for $200 and it had a leak and the stand looked horrible. Its 48"x18"x31" with 1/2" glass

Here is how it looked when i got it home, i have no pics of the stand before but you can see the top of it through the bottom pane, it looked horrible

Here it is after i sanded the stand and removed all the silicone and applied new silicone

And here it is now with a few small fish for the time being, i painted the trim and hood burgundy and i applied polyurethane to the stand. And also painted the background black.

Please let me know what you think

Nice job on cleaning up the tank and stand!! I don't care for the burgundy tank trim but it is your tank.

Interesting look. I am not a fan of tank trim not matching the stand. Is there a specific reason you have contrasting colors? My bedroom suite is cherry wood. I bet that trim color would look good among that furniture.

Good clean up job and refurb on the stand.

i'm doing this exact same thing, to the exact same tank, right now! thanks brian =D ^^^

I choose burgundy trim because the contrast is great and it goes great with the furniture. The picture with the flash makes it look too bright and like it doesn't belong there but the one without is really how it looks all day long. Thanks for the comments.
