Hey Forum,

I know i am always posting pictures of my discus so i thought i would mix it up a little and post a VIDEO!! yes my first discus video. In the video is my 120 tank i have been working on for the last 6 months. I have finally come to the established part where plants are starting to recovr/grow faster, and the discus are feeling more at home in their new environment. until now i was not really happy with the setup or scaping. So please enjoy. ps. Video quality is not great and theres nothing to listen to. first video....

look great and i like it. i know how you feel, i am working on my low light planted 180G tank and still not happy with my landscape. what kind of geo are those? and what is your temp? I have couple geo orangehead in qt tank and thinking to put in main tank.

You know im not at all sure which types of Geos they are. I know they are super common at the LFS that i tend to go to. they have one spot on the sides, red and clear spotted tails, and red pec fins. They are a little aggressive to my plants and a few of my other fish. Over all not too bad, but im thinking about growing them out a lot more so im thinking of moving the three to a 40g temporaritly. then a 75 in about 3 months. I would like some nice large ones (6"+).
The temp in the tank is about 85.1F depending on the day and how much i've kept the door open. In my little apt it gets super hot and humid. I have found that with what i am running right now the plants, lighting, and CO2 are all pretty dialed in to the higher temperature. Now that i am on a dosing schedule i have noticed a difference in the plants growth and color.

Wow!!! no wonder your tank looks nicer than mine 'cause you're running co2. I dont use co2 and fight for green algae right now. i would n't put those 6"+ geo in there, 'cause you don't have that much room left and discus won't be stand out. another thing, those tetras will be happy or snack.

oh ya getting rid of the tetras probably. im changing a bunch of stuff. I was saying that some nice big ones would be nice. i wouldn't return them to this 120 after they are grown. If and when.

Thanks for the complements :)

Nice tank and beautiful fish. But I would recommend that you try not to have too much current in the tank from your output line on your filter...............
