Just wanted to show my auranti to you..:)

I bought it in august and at that time it was around 6", maybe a bit less
so they do grow fast!:D

If you notice the gravel, you'll see that it is piled up at one end of the tank...
When i decorated the new tank for the auranti, i did a fairly good job(at least i thought so:D), that is until i put it in..
It decided that it didn't like my decoration and proceeded to move gravel around like it was a Jack Dempsey or something:grinno:
So, now it has made a cave like place under one of the roots.

Very nice aurantic and pic, Viking. It is growing out beautifully well! :)

Channa aurantimaculata (and C. barca) are "gravel digging" species... they reside along the banks of the river in their native habitat, it is their normal behavior to do so.
 
Thanks for the comments, i'll try to take a good full tank pic for posting.

I had heard that auranties do like to dig, but i do wish it wasnt quite so good at it!:D
