this is true and i agree... if captured recently best thing is freedom... taking care of a snapper long term is a big reponcibility... and unless prepared for future it is cruel to keep it...
 
My intention to keep it is to save BEN from not ending up in a cooking pot and serve as turtle soup.As it a favorite fishing spot for many foreign workers, fishing for fishes & soft shell turtle for food.Ben is house in a big fiberglass tank now i am feeding it shrimp, turtle pellet & some veg sometimes. :)

thats good... i had saved my mine from a hatchling.. he grew to be about 14 inches in two years.. i had a big tank for him and a pool for outside in the summer.... he got out of the pool one day and ran for freedom... lucky i have a private pond.. and i am sure he found it.. at least i would like to believe that....miss him... i have two young paints now...
