I have a small place and we added in a 100 gal pre formed pond liner. Later I added in a 40 mil liner and a scupper to connect them too. Hubby built a wishing well to concell the bio filter and we found a old pipe from a old tank and that returns the water into the upper pond.. well something like that..

filled in more with plants, looking the other way

this worked out great for a small long place behind the house.. The house shades it at 3pm in the summer time..

Good way to use what would other wise be a small, narrow stripe of lawn.

Only fancy long fined/tailed goldfish are in this compact pond, too small for any Koi. I keep smaller ones in the upper 50 gal to grow out after a spawn.. Was going to build a bigger one, but I have 12 big tanks running and the house, the yard, 4 lap dogs to keep me busy, so I wil keep it like this.. I have keep my midas juvies and some convicts out here. they did better than in the tanks!! IF I do a bigger pond, same place just a liner all the way to the falling down wishing well (needs to be rebuilt now), I wil do so again but bring the 10"+ 3 adults out and let them have at it.. they should like that.. they can stay out from June to mid Sept and have no ill effects of water temp differences..
That was a good pump for water flow. the impeller broke and I had to use a different pump this year, didnt' pump out as much, but got the job done.. I wil get it fixed this spring..

Thanks all. This just shows U dont' need a big place to have a nice smaller pond..

So, Hubby does the work and you take the kudo's ? Sounds like a good marriage ;).

Very nice addition to your home, looks wonderful.

Thank You for sharing.

Just curious, how about a winter pic? Please :D

Great looking pond, excellent landscaping, I suppose I should get out and do some work on mine after seeing this.
I am also hoping to keep convicts going over winter in my pond, good luck with your plans.
